Receiving a pension

These points are only when the Employer is paying the pension. Most pensions are paid by the Pension Provider

Items below are reported to HMRC via FPSs.

One of the next two needs to be ticked if you are paying out a pension, ie you are acting as a Pension Provider.
This will very very rarely happen

Both of these also require you to tell HMRC how much you paid them.
You do this by:
1) In 'Pay Headings' enter your heading ie Pension Income. Leave the 'Tax' as Y but all the others I believe should be N, keep tabbing over to the right, you will come to 'Pen O', for Pension Only, change that to Y
2) In 'Additions & Deductions' create another heading ie Pension Non-taxable, again tab over to the right and change 'Pen O' to Y
You also need to tick what the appropriate tick box.
Do the payrun as normal.

Do the RTI/FPS as normal.
