From 1st October 2010 to 30th September 2011

£5.93 an hour for workers aged 21 and over
£4.92 an hour for workers aged 18 to 20
£3.64 an hour for workers aged 16 to 17
£2.50 - the apprentice rate, for apprentices under 19 or 19 or over and in the first year of their apprenticeship

From 1st October 2009 To 30th Septemper 2010

£5.80 - the main rate for workers aged 22 and over

£4.83 - the 18-21 rate

£3.57 - the 16-17 rate for workers above school leaving age but under 18
