Pension Nest CS

You need to run this for each payrun, to send the Contribution Schedule to Nest.

You cannot send a negative amount, unchoose any employees with a negative amount. You cannot offset any refunds against the amounts due.
All the figures are changeable.



Pension Ref
This is populated for you, from the chosen Nest Scheme.

Process type
This is populated for you, leave as CS.

No. Employees
This is populated for you, if you untick an employee the corrected number will be included in the CSV file.

Pay START Date epsd. Earnings Period Start Date
Pay period start date.
CalcPay will generate this date, for Tax Weekly it will be based on the PAYE period date, for Tax Monthly it is the relevant month.
If you are using Weekly/Monthly chosen periods then you can permanently alter this date in Employer/EmployerDetails/A.E.Pension.
Employer/EmployerDetails/A.E.Pension

Pay END date eped. Earnings Period End Date
Date of the end of the period.
'This is the end date of the period in which wages are paid and not the period they were earned. It’s
important if workers are paid in arrears. The date entered must be the same as the date NEST created
the contribution schedule. If the dates dos not align you’ll need to use the date required by NEST and
check your set up against payroll, for example whether it should be aligned to tax periods.'

You can permanently change the EPSD and EPED in Employer/EmployerDetails/A.E.Pension.
Employer/EmployerDetails/A.E.Pension

Payrun date
Date of the pay run.
For your convenience, the CSV file will be saved with this date at the end of its name..


Pay Frequency
Tax Weekly/Tax Monthly for using the Tax Periods or Weekly / Monthly if you are using your own start dates.

Payment Source
Where the Payment to Nest  is to come from ie what bank a/c.
This is saved in 'A.E.Pensions/PensionScheme/Nest'
This comes from what you entered when you registered the Nest scheme. Please note the entry is case sensitive.

Display Schedule
This will generate the outstanding periods.
This is for your convenience to align the Start Date etc.

Choose
The employees who have contributed will be ticked.
Any refunds will be unticked.
The Ticked entries will be sent to the CSV file.

Pen. Earnings
This is the earnings that the contributions are based on.

Reason ( for partial or non-payment of contributions)
1 Member has left your employment (Fields 5, 7, 8 and 10 required)
2 No longer in use
3 Member is on family leave (Fields 5, 6, 7 and 8 required)
4 Member has chosen to stop contributions (Fields 5, 7 and 8 required)
5 Member has insufficient earnings (No other fields required)
6 Transferring member to a different payment source (Fields 5, 7, 8, 10 and 13 required)
7 Change member groups and pay contributions
8 Group changed – pay for new and old group
9 Member has opted out (Fields 17 and 18 required)
10 Pay for more than one enrolment type (Fields 5, 7, 8, 19, 20 and 21 required)
11 Employer duties are being fulfilled elsewhere (Fields 5, 7 and 8 required)
12 Change of payment source and group (Fields 5, 7, 8, 10, 11 and 13 required)
Reason Date
If 'Reason' has an entry then 'reason Date' also requires an entry.
Nest information field 15

Web Service
This will generate an XML file with all the employees you have chosen.
It will then be sent directly to Nest.
They will check the file and OK it.
You will then be given an option to confirm payment of the amounts due.


Old Generate CSV File
This is no longer used, use 'Web Service' instead.
This will create a CSV file in the '/pension' folder with the company backup name.
The name is made up of:
       current folder + /pension
       Backup Name
       Emp Ref
       Payrun Date in yyyymmdd format
       '.csv'
You can change the location and name if you wish.
