Unlock Your Payroll Data
Though payroll providers often supply options to import
data, they rarely provide an easy way to get your data out.
We have decided to write some software to provide solutions to this
problem.Currently we have 2 programs, The Sage facilities are described
in the Help files that come with CalcPay. The Iris solution is
described here. As far as we can tell Iris does not have an easy
facility to export the data that YOU have entered.
Here is a FREE solution.

Before we call the kettle black, by the end of June, CalcPay will have
a facility to export employee and P11 information into a CSV file.
We believe the information you enter into CalcPay is YOUR
data.
YOU have a right to get it out again.
CalcPay does not use the '.Net' . Our developers program is Visual
FoxPro. This comes with its own built in data engine. The Windows
version came out in 1995 and the latest version, ver9, April 04, The
current Microsoft support date is up to 2014. VFP is a mature product.
CalcPay has only 2 files registered in Windows, the Help file &
the commercial backup file. CalcPay will still work with neither being
registered.

This is a utility which reads a normal Iris report and converts some of the information into a CSV file.
From the Iris 'Employment Record' report the following can be
obtained:
RefNo,Surname,Firstname1,Firstname2,Title,
Address1/4,PostCode,Gender,MaritalStatus,
DateOfBirth,DateStart,WorkNo,TaxCode,Week1,NINO,NicLetter,PaymentMethod,PaymentFrequency.
This CSV file can then be imported into CalcPay or indeed into other payroll products.

Work is underway to increase what can be converted from the 'Employment
Record'.

IrisExport.exe is a small file (375kb) but it needs to have
the RUNTIME files that come with CalcPay07.
If you do not have CalcPay07 on your machine then click SetupCalcPay07
& save to your download folder, then Run setupcalcpay07 from
your download folder to install.
Click IrisExport
& save to where you installed CalcPay07 (defaults to
c:\calcpay\pay06_07).
The simple instructions are displayed below. A fuller account is shown pictorially.
DETAILED INSTRUCTIONS:
In Iris Select the 'Employee Record' report
Choose 'All Cycles'
Once it's displayed you want to Export it as a 'rtf' file.
You can now come out of Iris.
Open the 'rtf' file in 'WordPad'
Now save it as a 'TXT' file.
We are now ready to convert from 'TXT' to 'CSV'
Go into Irisexport, hit the button & get your file
